About me
My path leads from architecture through mediation to theology. Time and again, I return to the questions: “How do we foster good living together in this world? What keeps us connected and what divides us? How should we relate to ourselves, to animals, and to the environment?”
01 My Path
I studied architecture and designed interior and exterior spaces. The question of how spaces affect people, how structures provide stability and atmosphere emerges — that still shapes me today, even though my path has led me further.
I am the mother of four grown sons. That means: I know conflicts not just from theory. I know them from everyday life, from sleepless nights, from moments when I don’t know how to go on and have no choice but to venture new paths.
My theology studies at LMU Munich opened a different perspective on human coexistence. What sustains us when structures break? What contributes to our alienation from our environment and ourselves? How do we deal with guilt, forgiveness and new beginnings? What does it mean to love our neighbors and ourselves?
Since 2019, I have been a certified mediator. In 2021, I founded Vera Lanz GmbH — to bring mediation, counselling, accompaniment and creative processes under one roof. My approach is holistic: conflicts affect us on every level — cognitive and physical. Facing them at the right time opens new energies and new paths.
02 Values
01
Love is not merely a feeling, but an attitude. Love does not think only of itself. It is considerate of the other, gives freely without expecting anything in return, and seeks the best in the other and in oneself.
02
Good, lasting solutions emerge where I and Thou enter into a new relationship. Clarity requires truth, consideration and the will towards the good. Then new paths and visions can arise. It requires your decision towards reconciliation.
03
It begins where self-assertion steps back and responsibility makes relationship, mutual listening and empathy possible. This is where trust and closeness arise.
